Which vegetable cutter drum is for what?
The Jupiter vegetable cutter is not only available for the mySystem, but also as an attachment with a practical direct connection for KitchenAid, Kenwood and SMEG. Thanks to the different drums, there are a wide variety of options for chopping vegetables, cheese, nuts, etc.
But what types of vegetable grater drums are there and what do I use them for?
- The Bircher drum grates fruit and vegetables evenly and finely and takes its name from the well-known Bircher muesli. This healthy Swiss delicacy uses freshly grated apples and nuts, among other things. Neither of these is a problem for our Bircher drum.
-
The disc drum cuts cabbage, root vegetables, cucumbers, zucchini and potatoes into even slices. Ideal for fresh salads and homemade potato gratins.
-
The coarse grater drum turns fruit and vegetables into the most delicious raw salads. It also transforms raw, peeled onions into mountains of onions for onion pie or fried onions.
-
The fine grater drum grates and shreds nuts, chocolate blocks and hard cheese. It also helps you make breadcrumbs out of rusks and hard white bread in no time. You can also use it to grate carrots and other root vegetables for a fine carrot or raw vegetable salad.
-
The chopstick drum is – as its name suggests – exactly the right partner if you need finely chopped vegetables in chopstick form.
-
The crown-cut drum , also called potato grating drum , grates raw potatoes for fresh potato pancakes and dumplings, but it also grates horseradish and apples into small pieces.
