Which foods can I process with my universal grinder?
Vegetables, fruits, fish and meat (raw and cooked), soaked grains and bread.

What should I consider when processing food?
To ensure even processing, place the food in small, preferably chilled pieces and quantities into the feed hopper. Do not put frozen food or solid parts (stalks, tendons, bones, cores) into the universal grinder.

How can I disassemble my universal grinder?
Take the universal grinder off the drive unit and remove the pusher and filling funnel. Loosen the locking ring anti-clockwise. You can now remove the perforated disc, blade and auger from the housing.

How do I clean my universal grinder properly?
The parts of our stainless steel universal mincers (476 500 and 480 500) for KitchenAid and SMEG are all dishwasher safe. However, we recommend washing the blade by hand to keep it sharp.
With our universal plastic grinder for the mySystem, the locking ring and housing can also be cleaned in the dishwasher. The perforated disc, blade, spring, conveyor screw and pusher should be washed by hand.
Clean the model 862 260 for the mySystem with lukewarm water and detergent. Then let all parts dry thoroughly and rub the blade and perforated disc with a little cooking oil if necessary.

How do I assemble my universal grinder?
Place the auger in the housing and the spring on the auger. Insert the blade, making sure that the cutting surfaces face forward. Place the perforated disc so that the semicircular recess in the perforated disc fits into the housing. Now place the locking ring on and tighten it by turning it clockwise.

Can I also cut bacon with my universal grinder?
Together with the square hole disc, the 2-blade steel knife makes the perfect bacon cutting set. This can be purchased as an optional accessory.

What accessories are available for my universal grinder?
In addition to the bacon cutting set, consisting of a square perforated disc and a 2-blade knife, there is a practical grater attachment with a sprinkle guard, which is ideal for finely grating nuts, hard cheese, chocolate, etc. We also offer a sausage filling tube for making sausages. Shortbread can be made with the shortbread attachment.
