Around your universal mincer

What foods can I process with my universal mincer?
Vegetables, fruits, fish and meat (raw and cooked), swollen cereals and bread.

What should I pay attention to when processing the food?
Place the food in the feed hopper in small, preferably cooled pieces and quantities to ensure uniform processing. Do not put frozen food and solid components (stems, tendons, bones, seeds) into the universal mincer.

Which perforated discs are available and what do I use them for?
You can find a detailed description of the individual perforated discs in our matching blog post or for practical download in this PDF.

How can I disassemble my universal mincer?
Remove the universal mincer from the drive unit and remove the plugger and feed hopper. Loosen the locking ring counterclockwise. Now you can remove the perforated disc, knife and feed screw from the housing.

How do I clean my universal mincer properly?
The parts of our stainless steel universal mincers (476 500 and 480 500) for KitchenAid and SMEG are all dishwasher safe. However, we recommend washing the blade by hand to maintain its sharpness.
With our universal mincer made of plastic for the mySystem, the locking ring and housing can also be cleaned in the dishwasher. You should rinse the perforated disc, blade, spring, feed screw and tamper by hand.
Clean the 862 260 model for the mySystem with lukewarm water and detergent. Then allow all parts to dry thoroughly and, if necessary, rub the knife and perforated disk with a little cooking oil.

How do I assemble my universal mincer?
Place the auger in the housing and the spring on the auger. Insert the blade, making sure that the cutting surfaces face forward. Place the perforated disk so that the semicircular recess of the perforated disk fits into the housing. Now put on the locking ring and tighten it clockwise.

Can I also cut bacon with my universal mincer?
Together with the 4-sided perforated disc, the 2-bladed steel knife makes the perfect bacon cutting set. This can be purchased as an optional accessory.

What accessories are available for my universal mincer?
In addition to the bacon slicing set, consisting of a 4-edge perforated disc and a 2-bladed knife, there is a practical grating attachment with a scatter guard, which is ideal for finely grating nuts, hard cheese, chocolate & Co. We also offer a sausage stuffer tube for making sausages. Spritzgebäck can be made with the Spritzgebäck attachment.

Attention: These accessories can only be used for models 110500, 862200, and 862260!
